Job Title: Union Mobile HVAC / Maintenance Technician
What this job involves: This position involves operating, inspecting, and maintaining all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment across assigned commercial facilities. The role focuses on ensuring efficient operations, maximizing equipment life expectancy, and maintaining energy-efficient, safe building environments while minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and repairs.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and building systems
• Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, and plumbing systems
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
• Handle interior and exterior building repairs including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting
• Respond effectively to all emergency situations and after-hours building activities as required
• Prepare and submit summary reports to management with recommended actions based on findings
• Study and operate building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building-related equipment
• Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and State, County, or City codes and regulations
• Attend periodic training seminars and complete other assigned operational tasks
Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
• Universal EPA 608 Certification • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with strong background in packaged HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment repair and maintenance
• Valid state driver's license • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders
• Ability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required
Preferred:
• Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application
• Experience managing work orders and utilizing CMMS technology
• Experience working in a service-related role specific to commercial facilities
