Job Description

Step into a transformative role as an Occupational Therapist in Newport, Vermont, and empower clients to regain independence, function, and confidence in daily life. This specialized travel opportunity invites you to apply your expertise across diverse clinical settings, make meaningful impacts on patients and families, and grow into a more versatile clinician. You’ll join a purpose-driven team that values collaborative care, evidence-based practice, and the everyday moments that define recovery. As you chart a path across the Northeast, you’ll experience the satisfaction of guiding adaptive strategies, optimizing environments, and helping people reclaim their roles at home, work, and in the community.

Newport sits at the edge of Vermont’s scenic landscapes, where serene lake views meet vibrant autumn colors and the charm of small-town life. Vermont’s four seasons invite outdoor recreation, from lake activities in warmer months to snow sports in winter, all within reach of welcoming neighborhoods, local eateries, and cultural events. This setting isn’t just a place to work—it’s a place to live fully, recharge between sessions, and draw inspiration from nature’s rhythms as you advance your clinical craft. The state’s strong emphasis on wellness, accessibility, and patient-centered care complements the rewarding hands-on practice you’ll deliver as an OT on this assignment.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across locations within the region while anchored in Newport, with the possibility to extend your impact through additional assignments across the U.S. The position offers competitive compensation, with weekly pay in the range of $2,086 to $2,174, and a guaranteed 35.0 hours per week to support stability and dependable planning. Starting on 11/24/2025 for a duration of weeks, you will assess, plan, and implement OT services designed to improve activities of daily living, fine motor skills, cognitive processing, sensory integration, and upper-extremity function. Your responsibilities will include comprehensive assessments, development of customized intervention plans, durable medical equipment evaluation and recommendations, home safety adaptations, caregiver instruction, and timely documentation in electronic medical records. You’ll coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care, set measurable goals, monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and advocate for assistive technology and accommodations that enhance independence. The role also emphasizes opportunities for professional growth within occupational therapy as you broaden your scope in pediatrics, adults, or geriatric populations, depending on site needs and your areas of interest.

A robust support structure accompanies you on every step of travel. Beyond clinical mentorship and peer collaboration, you’ll access 24/7 support from the company to address scheduling, housing, and travel concerns. Housing assistance is provided to ease relocation and ensure a comfortable stay, so you can focus on clinical excellence and patient outcomes. The program values continuity and career development, offering extension opportunities that let you deepen your expertise, establish a broader portfolio of settings, and cultivate enduring relationships with patients, families, and professional colleagues. A travel OT career here blends the stability of consistent hours with the excitement of varied clinical environments, enabling you to refine adaptive strategies across diverse communities while maintaining a clear path for advancement.

Our commitment goes beyond patient care. The company’s core values center on empowering staff, recognizing that your professional growth fuels better outcomes for those you serve. You’ll find a supportive work environment that prioritizes mentorship, ongoing education, leadership development, and transparent communication. The culture embraces curiosity, resilience, and collaboration, ensuring you feel valued as a clinician and as a member of a broader, mission-driven family. Whether you’re expanding your therapeutic toolbox, refining documentation skills, or contributing to program development, you’ll have the resources and encouragement needed to reach your next milestone.

Ready to apply? This is an exciting chance to join a company that prioritizes your contribution and professional development while delivering exceptional care in Vermont’s Newport and beyond. If you’re passionate about enabling independence through evidence-based OT interventions, eager to explore new settings, and committed to patient-centered service, we want to hear from you. Seize this opportunity to grow your career, enjoy a supportive community, and make a lasting impact on the lives you touch.

Note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
