Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist RN with a GA or compact RN license to lead infection control initiatives in a hospital-based environment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Infection Prevention unit within a hospital setting
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Occasional on-call rotation may be required
• Focus on infection surveillance, epidemiologic investigations, and education
• Lead and coordinate infection prevention and control programs, including surveillance and response for healthcare-associated infections
• Conduct root cause analysis for infection events and implement process improvements
• Provide formal and informal education on infection prevention protocols to staff
• Monitor compliance with infection prevention best practices such as hand hygiene and PPE use
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and performance initiatives
• Covered by hospital dress code and code of conduct policies

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Experience in infection prevention, epidemiology, or related healthcare quality fields
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply CDC and NHSN guidelines
• Strong consultation and education skills with multidisciplinary teams
