Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Resource Pool ICU/PCU night shift position requiring strong ICU/PCU skills and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU and PCU units within a hospital Resource Pool setting
• Nurses may float between any ICU or PCU unit as frequently as every four hours based on staffing needs
• Patient ratios are 2:1 in ICU and 5:1 in PCU
• Night shifts are 3x12 hours, from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am
• Requires use of the Epic EMR system
• Travelers must be comfortable floating frequently between all ICU and PCU units
• One holiday shift required for each 13-week assignment, with two holidays required during winter season
• Orientation includes up to 5 hours for modules and 2 hours for Epic training; modules may be completed pre-start or during orientation
• Candidates must submit all time-off requests up front for consideration
• Return travelers must have been separated at least one year or meet updated separation policies
• Local candidates from 50-99.9 miles may be considered for one 13-week assignment without extension, while those closer than 50 miles may be considered only at a lower rate with no extension eligibility

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required and in hand
• Minimum 2 years of large hospital experience preferred
• Experience in ICU and PCU units required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are considered local, with assignment eligibility restrictions
