Technical Content Writer

Location: Onsite – Carmel, IN

Role:

Looking for a Technical Content Writer experienced in software documentation and industrial/automation systems (preferably drilling machines). The role involves creating clear, concise manuals, guides, and software documentation for engineers, operators, and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain user manuals, installation guides, software docs, training materials, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with engineers and developers to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand content.
• Standardize content style and create supporting diagrams or illustrations.
• Update documentation with product changes and ensure compliance with standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, CS, Technical Writing, or related field.
• 5+ years in technical writing for industrial/automation systems.
• Strong software documentation knowledge and familiarity with SDLC.
• Proficient in MS Office, MadCap Flare, FrameMaker, Confluence, Visio, or similar tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently onsite.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with IoT, CNC, or PLC-controlled machinery.
• Basic programming knowledge (C/C++, .NET, Java).
• Experience in safety or compliance documentation.
