Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician – Hudson, MA

Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM , with potential overtime

Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding, including TPN preparation using a Pinnacle Compounder
• Work under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill IV prescriptions and prepackage medications
• Maintain compliance with USP <797> standards and all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations
• Assist in maintaining accurate patient and prescription records
• Support pharmacy billing functions by entering data into the computer system
• Maintain cleanroom and equipment calibration logs; ensure aseptic conditions are met at all times
• Assist with receiving, rotating, and tracking inventory, including posting lot numbers and expiration dates
• Collaborate with the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to uphold a clean and safe work environment

Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License – Required
• Sterile Compounding Experience – Required
• Ability to Create TPNs Using Pinnacle Compounder – Required
• Must pass aseptic technique validation and fingertip testing before beginning work
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with USP <797> sterile compounding standards
• Strong attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced environment
