Job Description

SUMMARY

#1 Priority: Create bold, consistent, high-quality visual design that brings the GORUCK brand to life across every touchpoint. From product packaging to apparel graphics to digital campaigns, you’ll ensure our look is tight, on-brand, and ready to perform.

This is a hands-on creative role with a wide scope: customer experience, events, apparel, website, and marketing campaigns. You’ll be the go-to design lead inside Marketing, collaborating across teams and serving as a resource for our Graphic Designer. If you care about brand consistency, design with purpose, and want to see your work show up everywhere from boxes to ads to patches — this is the role for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design and deliver visual assets across channels, including but not limited to:

    • Customer Experience: box graphic design, product inserts, stickers
    • Event patches, signage, and advertisement assets
    • Graphic t-shirts and related designs
    • Website landing pages, product pages, GIFs, and animations
    • Creative for paid ads, email layout and graphics, social, and organic media
  • Ensure consistency of brand identity across all visual output.
  • Support marketing campaigns with creative assets from concept to final execution.
  • Organize and maintain creative assets for efficient reuse and future reference.
  • Partner with Marketing, E-commerce, and Brand teams to ensure designs connect storytelling, customer experience, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to deliver high-quality creative.
  • Serve as a creative resource and mentor for the Graphic Designer, providing feedback and guidance (not a direct manager but a team lead).

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in ecommerce, apparel, or lifestyle brands.
  • Strong portfolio showing a mix of digital and physical design (apparel, packaging, digital ads, website assets).
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and ability to deliver production-ready files.
  • Motion/animation skills (GIFs, simple video) a plus.
  • Strong eye for brand consistency, typography, layout, and storytelling.
  • Experience balancing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communicator who can collaborate across teams and with vendors.
  • A doer’s mindset — from concept sketches to final art, you own the process and push for quality.

WHY GORUCK

  • GORUCK-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life and disability insurance plans
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Unlimited vacation policy (work hard, take time when you need it)
  • Six company holidays
  • Unlimited, free entry to GORUCK events
  • Always Look Cool with deep discounts on GORUCK gear
  • Zero corporate fluff — opportunity to shape the future of a premium brand with a purpose
