Job Description

Job Summary Ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets at assigned location. Responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring for potential threats, responding to emergencies, and enforcing rules and regulations. Essential Responsibilities Patrol premises on foot and with security vehicles to deter and detect unauthorized activity. Use surveillance tools such as cameras and monitoring systems to observe activities within the facility. Identify suspicious behavior, potential threats, and violations of security protocols and recommend improvements to enhance security measures. Check identification, search bags, and ensure that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas to prevent potential security threats. Respond to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, and security breaches and coordinate with other agencies during critical situations. Use de‑escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and maintain a safe environment. Document incidents, suspicious activities, and other relevant information in detailed reports. Respond to alarms triggered by security systems and investigate the cause of the alarm and take appropriate actions. Provide customer service by assisting visitors, giving directions, and providing information about the facility's rules and regulations. Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of security equipment such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems. Escort individuals off premises when necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of previous experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities. Strong multitasking capabilities and organizational skills. Work effectively in a fast‑paced and high‑pressure environment. Maintain confidentiality. Remain calm in stressful situations. Work with law enforcement agencies as necessary. Basic experience in Microsoft Office products. Maintain a valid driver's license. Work Environment Lift up to 50 lbs. Sit/stand/walk for extended periods. Work in seasonal hot and cold temperatures and exposure to dust and chemical fumes.
