Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Power BI Sr. Consultant to join our team. This client-facing role requires advanced expertise in Power BI dashboard design and development, with the ability to translate business requirements into impactful, insight-driven visualizations. The ideal candidate will combine strong data visualization skills with deep technical knowledge in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and performance optimization. In addition, this role demands strong consulting skills to gather requirements, lead workshops, and present solutions to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to meet client requirements.
• Work directly with clients to gather requirements, lead workshops, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure all dashboards and reports adhere to data visualization best practices, effectively communicating insights through the right chart types and layouts.
• Collaborate with technical teams to connect and model data from multiple sources.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior Power BI developers on best practices and solution delivery.
• Present deliverables and insights to client stakeholders in a clear, professional, and consultative manner.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of client-facing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of advanced, hands-on Power BI dashboard and data development experience.
• Expertise in:
• DAX (complex calculations and measures)
• Power Query/M for data shaping and transformation
• Data modeling and semantic layer design, including Dataflows
• Performance optimization
• Experience preparing and connecting to data from multiple source systems.
• Excellent consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred experience in row-level security, Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, paginated reports / Power BI Report Builder (SSRS).
• Tableau experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work on-site at our location in King of Prussia, PA.
