Serve as the Personnel Security Manager and point of contact (POC) of a major Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) or Medical Center (MC) Personnel Security Program. Responsible for the overall administration and control of the Personnel Security Program to include all actions pertaining to and concerning US security clearances in accordance with DHA and Department of Defense (DoD) Policy. Ensure all required periodic investigation are handled as well as any derogatory actions that require action. Initiate, complete, and monitor all Child Background Checks for individuals who work with children under the age of 18. Maintain security clearance record and files, and initiate independent reviews, as required, on all personnel having access to classified material. Establish and maintain security and accountability of classified material. Monitor the personnel security investigation status of all personnel assigned or attached to the agency ensuring that the computerized personnel roster and security folders are currently maintained for all cleared personnel.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. This position may subject to immunizations screenings.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes initiating appropriate background investigation using The Personnel Security system (NP2, DISS and eQuip); determine suitability and security of individuals for entry and retention in sensitive and non-sensitive positions; interpreting personnel security program policies and procedures within the agency or organization; preparing detailed written adjudicative analysis, citing applicable provisions of suitability guidance. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
