We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in payroll processing and administrative tasks. As a Contract to permanent position, this opportunity allows for growth within the automotive industry while working closely with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
• Process payroll data including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, and tax deductions accurately and efficiently.
• Verify and update master payroll records to reflect changes such as tax exemptions, promotions, and department transfers.
• Review wages and deductions for accuracy before posting them to payroll records.
• Issue paychecks upon request and prepare regular reports of employee earnings, taxes, and deductions.
• Manage onboarding and termination paperwork, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain records related to employee vacations, sick days, and eligibility for benefits.
• File required documents such as affirmative action plans and annual compliance logs.
• Oversee employee data management for store personnel, including setup, benefits, and payroll compliance.
• Communicate company policies and procedures effectively to both new employees and current staff.
• Assist with benefit administration, including enrollment, claims resolution, and open enrollment processes.• Proven experience in payroll administration and office management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and learn new systems quickly, including Paycom.
• Familiarity with human resources principles and local/federal regulations.
• Strong communication skills for responding to employee inquiries regarding salaries, benefits, and other details.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Calm demeanor and ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
