Junior Landscape Designer
Prunuske, Chatham, Inc. (PCI) is a multi-disciplinary ecological restoration and planning firm based in Sebastopol, California looking for a junior landscape architect/designer to join our design team. We offer planning, science, ecological design, and construction services to clients throughout Northern California and are seeking a creative individual with minimum 2 years of experience. Top candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong graphics experience in the design development and construction documentation process and a desire to advance in the fields of ecological restoration, planning and design. Typical Tasks:
· Design
· Rendering
· Producing high quality graphics and compiling presentation materials
· Preparing construction documents and specifications
· Participating in client meetings and presentations
· Completing site visits and field work
· Site analysis and documentation
Education and Experience:
· A professional degree from an accredited program in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering
· Minimum 2 years of professional experience with a Landscape Architecture, Planning, or Engineering firm (internship years may apply)
· Technical understanding of landscape architecture or environmental engineering including construction detailing, site design, grading and drainage
· Basic knowledge of California native plants
Skills and Abilities:
· Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft and Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
· Strong graphics with understanding of line weights, layout and color
· Grading and drainage design capabilities
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to work as a member of collaborative team
· Effective written and verbal communication skills

· GIS
· AutoCAD Civil 3D
· 3D modeling (Sketch Up, Lumion)
· Bluebeam Revu
· LID, open space/ park design, stream and wetland restoration design
Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment, however, occasional field work, including survey assistance, site assessments or construction observation, may be required. Hybrid work schedules are accepted.
Compensation: This position is full-time with benefits, including health insurance, 401K, optional bonus, paid time off and holidays. Salary range $70k-85k pending experience.
