Job Description

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a General Laborer/PIV Operator to join their team. As a General Laborer/PIV Operator, you will be part of the operations team supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: General Laborer/PIV Operator

Location: Ames, IA

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour

Shift: Rotating shift (A Crew) - Rotates 7AM to 3PM and 3PM to 11PM every two weeks

What's the Job?

• Perform a variety of general manual labor tasks including heavy lifting and moving of materials.
• Load and unload vehicles and assist in material handling operations.
• Operate industrial trucks or tractors to move materials around the warehouse or construction site.
• Follow generally defined procedures and work direction to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Ensure safety protocols are adhered to while working at heights and handling heavy materials.

What's Needed?

• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (30 pounds or more).
• Forklift certification is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• No prior experience required; we welcome entry-level candidates.
• must be able to pass a baground check and online assessment
