Internship Opportunity

The Town of Morrisville offers an internship opportunity within the Law Enforcement / Police Department. The position is available for college students in their sophomore, junior, or senior year.

Salary: $15.00 Hourly

Location: Morrisville, NC

Job Type: Internship

Closing Date: 12/1/2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Position Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing and organizing case files or accreditation compliance documents
• Assist with compiling and analyzing data, such as calls for service, arrest statistics or traffic stop reports.
• Assist CID detectives with case investigations and learning the investigative process.
• Assist as part of a multi-member team on a community outreach or crime prevention project
• Assisting with the records management system or other software tools by entering, updating, and organizing reports, citations, or incident data.
• Completing ride-a-long with different patrol officers, TSU members and CID members.
• Assisting with parking enforcement.
• Assisting with the operation of Town/Special events.

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities

• Student should be in Sophomore, Jr or Senior Year in College
