Pilatus is hiring a Component Repair Technician to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and overhaul of aircraft mechanical components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and FAA standards. A successful person in this position requires an above average attention to detail and commitment to tasks completed on time in addition to strong communication skills for the seamless operation of internal support. - Performs assembly, repair, testing, and overhaul of landing gear components including landing gear assemblies, shimmy dampers, shock absorbers, and other aircraft components
- Paints aircraft components with epoxy primer and polyurethane finishes
- Performs repairs and calibrations of production equipment and tooling
- Prepares documentation of work performed in accordance with repair station manual
- Ensures minimum turn-time of repaired components
- Maintains equipment and company facilities in a clean and orderly manner
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Assists aircraft maintenance department when required
- Performs other duties as assigned by Director System Integration
- Ensures a safe working environment and complies with all safety procedures
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to support customer demand
What you bring
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 years general aviation maintenance experience
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- Associate's degree or technical diploma preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to use hand tools and specialized test equipment
- Proficiency in general computer use and MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Must meet the criteria of a . person as defined under ITAR 22 CFR 120.62
