Cashier at Wegmans Food Markets summary:

As a part-time cashier at Wegmans, you will provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers at traditional and self-checkout lanes. Responsibilities include scanning and processing payments accurately, bagging items properly, managing self-checkout traffic, and maintaining a clean workspace. This role helps create a positive shopping experience, encouraging customer loyalty through friendly and efficient service.

Schedule: Part time
Availability: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (Includes Weekends).

In this role, you’ll provide proactive incredible customer service as you assist customers in both traditional checkout and self-checkout lanes. What will I do?

• Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling; proactively offer additional assistance, thank customers for shopping at Wegmans
• When on register, efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments
• Properly bag items to ensure products arrive at their destination in the condition they left the store
• When in self-checkout area, manage traffic flow, direct customers to available lanes, ensure the lanes are in good working order and assist customers with system troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work space
