Assistant Professor of Exercise Science Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science beginning in August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the newly developed Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. The program will offer courses such as Intro to Exercise Science, Anatomy and Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Strength and Conditioning, Exercise for Special Populations, and other courses as needed. Responsibilities Teach four undergraduate courses per semester. Develop and revise curriculum for the exercise science major. Participate in campus committees and college-wide events. Offer online courses as required by the department. Maintain a clear teaching philosophy and commitment to teaching excellence. Qualifications A Ph.D. in Exercise Science or a related discipline (ABD with identified completion date will also be considered). Experience teaching at the college level (preferred). ACSM and/or NCSA-CSC certification preferred. Experience with first‑generation, non‑traditional, and/or traditionally underserved student populations.
